Petra Marhava at MCS-CEITEC – How Plants Deal with Heat and Cold.

I would like to thank Petra Marhava for visiting us at CEITEC in the framework of the Mendel Centre Seminars. It was fantastic to talk about “How Plants Deal with Heat and Cold” from an angle of Molecular Mechanisms of Auxin Transport in Response to Temperature Stress.

It is good to remember that the Plasma Membrane, beside the cell wall, is the interface between the cell exterior and the guarded interior. The Plasma Membrane is also the environment in which the integral proteins (also PIN auxin translocators) function natively and to which they are delivered, removed and in which they are re-organised in response to stress adaptation.
